BeautyWay 2024 - May 2-5
Anderson Hoskie, and Harrison Jim, are both Dine' Hatałii, traditional medicine men as part of the Dine' Medicine Man Association. Anderson works directly with the Navajo Tribe within their Department of Health and Harrison while apprenticing with Anderson, has his own Hatałii practice, after retiring from the Indian Health Service.
I met them both while employed with the Nation Nation as a Clinical Specialist, directing an adolescent wilderness program, based out of Shiprock, NM. We all have continued gathering and bringing healing services and cultural awareness to those that might not have such opportunities to have access to this form of integrative and cross-cultural help. I assist both Hataliis with diagnosing and doctoring. The three of us combine gifts to provide a BeautyWay path within and throughout for each participant ~ kent Arrive open, willing to unclutter your mind, expand emotionally and explore your authentic self. "The BeautyWay retreat was one of the most profound events I have ever experienced...
Harrison and Anderson held us all with so much strength and gentleness through their powerful songs and prayers and their loving presence. I witnessed so much transformation and healing in everyone and in myself. Several months later I still feel the blessings they gave me. To have had the rare opportunity to be a part of something this joyful and heart opening was a great honor."- J.C. Denver, CO
"The retreat offered unique insights into the culture of the Navajo. The sweat lodge, prayers and ceremony were deeply healing, connecting me deeper to myself, my path, and creator. The prayer and aspects of the experience remain a part of my daily practice. I'm grateful to have been a part of the retreat." - S.C. Boulder, CO
"My experience at the BeautyWay last year was unlike any other ceremony I have participated. It felt like stepping into something very ancient, very powerful. Even though it's been a year or so later, I am still opening up into something I feel very strongly aligned with my being. We were all welcomed into another world, a place so unpretentious and remarkable. I felt no separation from nature, from them as facilitators/healers. I knew something really big was occurring, yet they were so at one with what they do, that I also felt like, this is what these guys do day in day out, and we have a front row seat to some very special beings, and ancient healing practices that defy anything I could have imagined until then! Thanks Kent for hosting" - JM, Paonia, CO
Please note: Those participating in the ceremonial portion and receiving diagnostic and healing work, will receive a list of items to bring, preparation protocol, and will need to offer Anderson and Harrison a small amount of money, and if needed a Dine' Wedding Basket at their time of ceremony. All will be explained, and outlets for basket purchases if needed. We are following traditional indigenous approaches.
