LA MESA IN PAONIA, COLORADO


  • Located seven minutes north of Paonia, La Mesa Retreat Center sits on sixty pristine acres including a vineyard, pond, a piñon and juniper forest and walking paths.
  • La Mesa is the ideal location in Western Colorado for spiritual, yoga and writing retreats, ceremonial gatherings, healing arts gatherings, et al.

  • There are numerous Air B/B locations in the town of Paonia and near La Mesa, if additional housing is needed for larger groups. 

  • La Mesa also has  parking for camper vans and small camper trailers.​

  • Food preparation is available in main lodge kitchen, and the farmhouse kitchen adjacent to the main lodge.  There is also an outdoor commercial kitchen and covered meeting area on the property that can easily accommodate 40 to 50 retreat guests. ​
  • La Mesa also has a large gathering room for ceremonies, yoga, authentic movement and activities that thrive in a pure quiet space. 
  • Seasonal camping within piñon and juniper trees is also on the property, along with showers and bathrooms for camping guests and those staying in their own camper vans and small trailers. 
  • ​The original 1 bedroom/1 bath little white meadow house is also available for retreat guests or for retreat teachers/facilitators who prefer full privacy, a kitchen and bath. The meadow house is down the hill adjacent to the vineyard about 100 yards. It's an easy walk up to the main lodge. 
  • The property also has a tipi site, and sweat lodge area utilized by authorized facilitators and healers.
  • La Mesa has a total of 10 queen beds, 6 twin beds and 2 standard (full) beds, not including the little meadow house for teachers/facilitators which has a queen bed and a futon.
  • Wireless service throughout facility, including Meadow House down the hill.  
Paonia is known for its lush landscape that produces an assortment of fruits and vegetables. Fishing, hiking, river rafting and numerous music and art festivals are all popular tourist attractions. A rare sense of community, creativity and collaborative efforts bring diverse beliefs and lifestyles together here. 

Conference Room in Lodge. Seats approximately 25 people comfortably. 

White "Meadow House" original farmhouse, 100 yards down the hill from the Lodge. Very private and perfect for retreat facilitators and teachers who need complete privacy, a bathroom and lodging. $90/night for our Growing Place event.
